Najat Vallaud-Belkacem

Former Minister for Education, Higher Education and Research of France; Global Affairs CEO, Ipsos

Former spokesperson for socialist candidate to the presidential election Ségolène Royal in 2007 and for François Hollande in 2012, she became Minister for Women’s Rights, Urban Planning, Youth and Sports and later on Education, Higher Education and Research (2014-17). She decided to join the private sector in March 2018 and took up the position of Global Affairs CEO at Ipsos, an industry-leading firm in global market and opinion research. There, she heads studies to evaluate public policies for international institutions and organiaztions. She runs “Raison de Plus”, a collection of the publishing house Fayard of works dedicated to progressive causes, and spearheads a gender equality and public policy program (“Égalité Femmes – Hommes et Politiques Publiques”) at Sciences Po.
