Khalid Chegraoui

Full-time Professor of History and Anthropology, at the Institute of African Studies; Mohammed V University of Rabat, and a Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South. Professor Chegraoui earned his first PhD in African Studies focusing on West-Saharan Africa. He started afterward his career in teaching and research in 1992; as a Research Assistant Professor at the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah University of Fez. He also earned a “Doctorate of State in African Studies” from the same university in 2002; where he focused on contemporary West Africa. In 2003, he became a Professor of History and Political Anthropology at the Institute of African Studies, Mohammed V University, a consultant on African and Middle East issues and strategic studies. Currently, he is Director of a Research Group: African Politics, a doctoral supervisor, a professor of African History in EGE School of Governance and Economy of Rabat, Polytechnic Mohammed VI University, and Director of Africa and Middle East Center Studies AMES Center.
