UNFPA regional director for West and Central Africa since 2015, he has a track record of turning ambitious visions into change for women and youth. His work is dedicated to the demographic dividend, the UN reform and the SDG’s. With UNFPA since 2008, former Director of program Division in New York (USA) and Emergency Director. He has occupied several leadership positions at the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) in Geneva (Switzerland), at the International Planned Parenthood Federation Regional Office in Nairobi (Kenya) and in his own country (Senegal) where he was instrumental in the development, management and monitoring of the country’s Public Investment Programs for over a decade. He has Master Degrees in Economics and Development Planning, and in Public Policy from the American University (Washington, DC).
